Support
Support the magazine
Paul Rockstar takes no ad revenue. The magazine runs on one editor’s time (Paul Choi) and a small infrastructure bill. Reader support is the most direct signal that keeps publishing alive.
Why I take support
This magazine runs no ads, and never takes money from campaigns or promoters to protect editorial independence. That means whether publishing continues depends on the explicit backing readers send through support.
Where the money goes
- — Domain · server · image hosting infrastructure
- — Editing time for Picks · Research Notes · Mind essays
- — Acquiring source material (tickets · CDs · LPs · references)
- — Future expansion — bi-weekly Field Notes · EN translation
Channels
Multiple channels are shown side by side so readers can pick the payment they prefer. The magazine does not depend on any single platform.
Ko-fi
🌎 GlobalFor · One-time + recurring
A tip-jar style global channel. One-time or recurring, paid via PayPal or card — the lowest-friction option for most readers.

KakaoPay
🇰🇷 KoreaFor · One-time
A one-time KakaoPay QR channel for Korean readers. Toss’s send-link service has shut down, so the Korean side consolidates around KakaoPay.

Promise
Supporter names and amounts are not published. The rule that campaigns and donations do not influence Pick selection is documented on the methodology page.
※ This page is for supporting the magazine itself. Support channels for the artists and promoters who get a Pick will live on a separate surface.
